Meeting was called to order at 6:30pm by Lion Vicki, VP, as President David was detained by the weather.
Secretary’s Report + Correspondence. Secretary Bert was unable to attend this meeting, so we tabled the approval of February minutes to the April meeting.
Treasurers Report…. Treasurers Report was presented by Lion Tony.
Leos…Lion Ron Rogers has volunteered to take Lion Deb’s place.
Membership…We need 53 members by June 30th. Just ask 1!! We found out at tonight’s meeting that this was Lion Tiny’s last meeting as he is moving to Turtle Lake. Goodbye, Lion Tiny!
Fundraising ….Upcoming events
Brat Bust… A Brat Bust is scheduled for Saturday, April 29th from 10-2. We’re trying to obtain permission to use the grassy area by Pick N Save where the trees are sold.
A Brat Bust at Mousehouse is tentative for May 26th, pending store remodel progress.
Fourth of July Raffle… SELL! SELL! SELL!
Gun Raffle… is a go again.
Sandbox Fill…Lion Dale got the ball rolling for a sandbox fill on May 6th. Lion Laura designed and printed posters and sign-up sheets for all of us to take and distribute in prominent places.
Stuff the Bus…Lion Vicki will chair Stuff the Bus on August 12th.
Trail Clean Up…We will organize a Trail Cleanup on the walking paths in Windsor this Spring.
Legacy Projects…Several of us have been bantering ideas around for a Legacy Project. We really need to set up a committee to take the lead. Lion David presented a couple of ideas which he saw at convention this past weekend: A Lion water fountain and a Lion bench.
Kelli Bialkowski from the DeForest Parks & Recreation Department will join us in April for an update on Fireman’s Park renovation and ideas for us to consider for our project.
Convention…Lion Al reported on Convention,
Awards…were passed out to several of our members for their milestone years of service to our Lions Club.
Officer Training and Member Training…There are 6 opportunities to attend one training in our District, but the closest for us is Monday, May 17, 7:00pm – 9:00pm at Dekorra Lutheran Church in Poynette.
Eyeglass Fit…Lions Ann and Erling gave a nice presentation on their recent trip to León, Nicaragua and El Salvador to fit eyeglasses.
